Based on data released by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Motorcycle Cycle Accessories), regarding the registrations of motorbikes, scooters and mopeds in May, an overall decline of 0,7% was reported on the same month of 2021.

Only scooters fell with 60.873 units, equal to a decline of 12,3%. The trend for motorbikes was positive with an increase of 8,7% and 63.019 registered vehicles. The prospect of mopeds was also good, given a growth of 9,1% in light of 8.040 registrations.
The growth of the segment continues electric, given the 1.261 examples and an increase of 39,1%, compared to May 2021. The annual balance sheet shows 5.610 models sold with a growth of 54,8%. In this case we remember the state incentives, which provide contributions of up to a maximum of 3.000 euros without a vehicle to be scrapped and up to 4.000 euros with the scrapping of an example classified up to Euro 3.
Returning to May market, the closing was essentially breakeven compared to the same month last year. Considering the market for registered vehicles and mopeds, 38.338 entries were recorded with a decrease of 0,7%. For mopeds, a good result was confirmed, growing by 6,3% with 2.067 registrations. The result of the motorbikes was also positive with 16.336 registered examples and a growth of 1,3% compared to the same month last year. The trend for scooters continues to be negative, the fourth month in a row, in light of 19.935 units sold, down by 3%.
