Motorcycle and scooter market, ANCMA: a good start in 2023

The year is off to a positive start 2023 for the motorized two-wheeler market. An increase emerges 37,7% on the same month of last year, consulting the January data on registrations of motorbikes, scooters and mopeds proposed by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories).

Compared to the positive market data, however, the electricity market decreased by 17,10% with 868 units, driven by the data for mopeds, recalling last year's order.
As mentioned, the increase in two-wheel market in the first month of the year it is 37,72% considering 21.314 specimens and the effect of state incentives already exhausted.
The data linked to scooters is highlighted, the increase of which reaches a percentage of 77,4% with 10.720 units registered. The progress of motorcycles is also interesting in light of an increase of 22,36% with 9.482 vehicles. As mentioned when talking about the electricity market, the data for mopeds bucked the trend given a decline of 33,97% and 1.112 registrations. An aspect assessed as a technical rebound linked to the significant 2022 order, according to indications.
