Market, two wheels: overall growth of 16,6% in September compared to 2019

Based on the registration data of mopeds, scooters and motorbikes from September 2021 proposed by Confindustria ANCMA, National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories, an overall growth of 16,6% was recorded considering the most indicative 2019. Moving on to scooters, the market increases by a quarter compared to last year, reaching 131.988 with a percentage by +24,94%, while that of motorcycles grew by a third with 103.783 units and a value of +32%. Compared to the first nine months of 2019, there was an increase in the market of 17,3%.
Therefore, looking only at the electrical panorama, in September a sale of 1.004 units was ascertained, noting a decrease of 48,11% linked to an order from last year. The annual progression was positive, with 8.153 vehicles and an increase of 5,17%. A growth of 140% compared to the first nine months of 2019, as indicated.
In SeptemberTherefore, a total of 23.259 mopeds and registered units were introduced with a percentage of -10,37%. There is a decline in mopeds with 1.627 vehicles sold and a decrease of 28,86% on the same month of 2020, a phenomenon that also affects scooters given the 12.743 vehicles registered and the variability of the electricity market affects the -14,79% decline . The trend was different on the motorcycle side with 8.889 sold and an increase of 2% also compared to 2019. Compared with the same month of 2019, the overall growth was 16,6%, as mentioned.
