Two-wheeler market, ANCMA: +34,9% in June compared to 2019

The data of registrations in the month of June, released by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories), report an overall increase of Present in several = 34,9% compared with the 2019. The trend was stable compared to the same month of 2020 (-0,3%), the year in which there was a period of closure of the sales network, limitations on travel and important market rebounds in the summer period, as mentioned.

By the numbers, over the course of June a total of 41.545 vehicles were entered (mopeds + registered vehicles) (-0,32%). 2.355 vehicles sold were registered in the moped market, with a decrease of 7,39% on the same month last year; while for scooters and motorbikes 22.599 (+1,56%) and 16.591 (-1,75%) registrations were reported. Compared with the same month of 2019, an overall growth of 34,9% is indicated.
Moving on to electric, 1.409 vehicles sold in the month with a growth of 108,4%. The annual progression was also good with 5.120 vehicles and an increase of 29,98%. Also in this area, in comparison with 2019, there was an overall growth of 126,9%.
Therefore in the first six months of the year, considering mopeds, scooters and motorbikes, there was an overall increase of 53,5% equal to 176.360 registered vehicles. The share reached by mopeds was 9.809 (+23,8%), scooters amounted to 92.010 (+56,33%) and motorbikes to 74.541 (+54,95%). Considering the first six months of 2019, there was an overall market increase of 18,7%.
