Mandrill Garage – Are you convinced that you have truly seen everything that has been achieved in the world of motorcycling in recent years? The new trend is custom because the possibility of personalizing one's two-wheeler attracts an ever-increasing portion of consumers.

Shapes, colours, more or less significant details: everything on a motorbike is customizable today and the success of Motor Bike Expo it is further evidence of a continuously growing trend. At the Verona event we saw models for all tastes, but it doesn't take much to find new and original ideas. Just search among the workshops scattered all over the planet and you will find a work - because that is how it is right to define them - ready to take your breath away. This preamble serves to introduce the model signed by Mandrill Garage. The Chinese workshop, based in Beijing, is managed by Luo Hao (skilled graphic designer who avails himself of the collaboration of three other friends) who for 2018 has launched a BMW R NineT Neo-Racer 2017 which now takes the name of Dark Fighter.

More than suitable name giving a first look at the bike. In addition to the single-seater seat, not a rarity in custom models, this example is characterized by the large presence of black, used for the tank, the frame, the leather finishes and most of the engine. A more traditional chrome finish finds space on the rims of the two wheels and on the front fork. “The idea was to create something anti-retro, removing the lighthouse and fitting a medieval armor mask. I wanted to build a bike that looked like a street fighter“, explained Luo Hao. Mandrill Garage is not a main stream name, but the company has been producing unique examples of motorcycles and bicycles for six years now, as well as being a point of reference thanks to its neighbor Mandrill Cafe, a themed place to enjoy a drink, organize a party with friends and above all talk about motorbikes!
