LS2 Subverter MX470: Off-road helmets have a new star

LS2 Subverter MX470 – In the very crowded world of off-road helmets, a new product appears on the international market with the intention of rewriting the rules. We're talking about the new LS2 Subverter MX470, the perfect interpretation of its name, thanks to the technology and innovation developed by the R&D Center in Barcelona and in tests on international tracks with world-class riders to raise the levels of protection and comfort in the off-road world.

Subverter MX470 is made with an external shell in three sizes, molded in KPA (Kinetic Polymer Alloy), a mixture of thermoplastic polymers and fibre, an exceptionally flexible material that allows for the creation of a resistant and lightweight helmet, capable of perfectly absorbing energy generated by a possible impact. One of the important innovations expressed by Subverter MX470 concerns the interior, where the shell doubles to allow the total dispersion of the energy generated by an impact: the interior is characterized by a double layer of EPS combined with a sheet of polycarbonate, the same process applied in the creation of bike helmets. This system allows for great impact resistance, while dispersion occurs thanks to the rotation around the head of the second shell which, sliding with multi-directionality and working in combination with the main one, limits possible damage to the head in the event of a strong impact.

Particular attention was paid by LS2 to the design of the Subverter MX470, to guarantee maximum protection for the rider's neck, both in the event of an accident and strong vibrations. This new conformation works perfectly both with the presence or absence of collars or braces, widely used in both the enduro and motocross world. The air vents, which are located along the entire shell of the helmet, guarantee the extra ventilation required by racing helmets.

IThe peak of the Subverter MX470, designed to guarantee maximum protection from the sun throughout the day, slides thanks to the central screws fixed to the shell, to be adjusted according to the pilot's needs. The internal padding is removable and washable and is made with breathable and hypoallergenic technical fabrics, which guarantee maximum comfort in all conditions of use. Great safety for the rider is guaranteed by the strap that slides through the double ring until the helmet is well 'anchored' on the head and runs no risk of slipping off. In the event of an impact with trauma to the rider, Subverter MX470 allows the rapid removal of the side protections thanks to the Emergency Release System. Another safety feature expressed by SUBVERTER MX470 is represented by the exclusive metal triangle which maximizes the attachment of the chin guard to the shell.

The SOLID graphics have a retail price of 199 euros, while the other variants have a retail price of 229 euros.
