Design and technical specifications

Il ECE 22.05 certified helmet it has an oval shell which guarantees low aerodynamic resistance and high comfort on the head. The material is KPA, patented and owned by LS2. The screen, very large and well designed, is made of a class A polymer capable of combining impact resistance with great transparency. Visibility is very good also thanks to a specific anti-scratch treatment implemented on the surface. The visor is designed for coupling with the Pinlock anti-fog system which, as happens with high-end helmets, is already included in the purchase package.

The overall weight is around around 1.400 grams, an excellent compromise for a helmet considered for touring. The Storm is full of comforts that make it more than worthy of belonging to the category, first of all we find a second darkened visor that accompanies the transparent one on brighter days. The sun visor is easily controlled by a lever located on the left side of the helmet, an unusual position but which has proven to be functional. The air intakes located on the chin and forehead, together with the rear extractors allow correct ventilation of the helmet, the system works very well and is much appreciated especially in summer and on helmets with darker colors which in general tend to absorb more heat . At high speeds, however, the air flows coming from under the chin are completely shielded by a membrane that deflects them and prevents unpleasant drafts.

Conclusions

While testing this LS2 Storm narrow black it has fully lived up to expectations, it is equipped with all comforts, it is compact and very versatile. The available versions are the classic white, black, a gray scale and many colored graphics capable of satisfying every taste and combination. However, matte paint remains an exclusive finish that not all brands offer but which instead gives an extra touch to an obligatory gadget that today has become an increasingly distinctive element of every motorcyclist.

The interiors are hypoallergenic and very comfortable, even after a few hours of use the helmet is never annoying, it fits just right but does not cause pain. The LS2 Storm was tested together with the new Japanese scrambler, the Yamaha XTribute 700, and proved to be comfortable even on a motorbike with almost no aerodynamic protection, capable of low noise and very bearable aerodynamic resistance. On the official website the cost for the more sober colors is 159 euros while for helmets with more colorful graphics an additional 20 euros are required.
