The Police BMW R1200 RTs are ready for the "Safe Ferragosto" plan

The Roman traffic police has recently renewed its fleet of vehicles, with the new BMW 320 D Touring cars and BMW R1200 RT motorbikes. They are part of a broader renewal program which envisages, in the three-year period 2015-2017, replacing two thirds of the traffic police vehicle fleet. The new vehicles are equipped with cutting-edge technology that meets the requirements of safety, practicality and efficiency to facilitate territorial control activities. As for the motorbikes, the innovation mainly concerns the engine, which goes from 850 to 1200 cubic centimeters, with various design features in the fairing and equipment.
