Lambretta protects itself from counterfeiting

Made in Italy, from food to textiles to two-wheelers, is always exposed to the risk of imitation attempts and real counterfeits, especially when adequate protection strategies have not been implemented. In these cases we face unpleasant and expensive legal battles like the one he decided to undertake the Lambretta Consortium, starting the largest anti-counterfeiting operation of the very famous two-wheeler. The Lambretta Consortium, based in Milan, has started legal action against the violation of the registered trademark to prevent the products from being put on the market. The protection operation is of an international level and could not be otherwise, given that it is mainly directed against two former licensees, the Irish company Clag International and the Italian Motom Electronics Group Spa, while the Consortium had already taken other measures against Her Chee Industrial Co Ltd, Taiwanese manufacturer of the two offending scooters. In the note released by Lambretta SA we read that distributors and trade magazines are also involved in the accusation of violation, many of which have already received warning letters and termination notices for all distributors. Furthermore, Lambretta SA, through its websites, invites customers not to make advance payments to local distributors, publishing a list on its web pages with all the distributors involved in the illegal practice.
