La Mint of the State decided to celebrate one of the protagonists of Italian history, the wasp, dedicating a special coin to him.

The collector's coin will be available on the online shop dedicated to the subjects of the 2019 Numismatic Collection, and is created by the State Printing Office and Mint. It is made in uncirculated silver with colored inserts that highlight the famous shapes of the Vespa which is depicted here, on both sides, both in the current Primavera version and in its first form, the one which, in the spring of 1946, started a story of extraordinary industrial success and they will be available in three color variations: white, red and green, which make up the Italian flag if you purchase them all.

“Vespa has been an icon of Made in Italy elegance for over seventy years, one of the highest examples of Italian industrial design.” - we read from the press release released by the State Mint - “Vespa is also one of the best-known brands in the world and now it is also a coin, or rather a collection of coins made up of three elegant collectible specimens designed by the Piaggio Group in partnership with the State Mint. Past and present thus merge into a unique object, intended for collectors and true connoisseurs capable of appreciating the rich symbolic value of these coins.”
