Ducati Multistrada – The new Ducati Multistrada 1200, presented last November on the occasion of the 2014 World Ducati Premiere, not only bewitched the public at the EICMA in Milan, but also the former Superbike champion Carlos Checa. The Spaniard, 2011 world champion of the derivative series with Ducati, immediately expressed his desire to be able to ride the new Italian multibike. The opportunity was offered from the start of production of the motorcycle, when Carlos collected the first model to come off the assembly line of the Borgo Panigale factory.

"I already had the first version of the Multistrada 1200 and I immediately understood that this is my ideal bike. When I saw the new model at EICMA I literally fell in love with it", said Carlos Checa during his visit to Borgo Panigale. “I immediately realized that the bike had undergone a real revolution and an important step forward in terms of technology, safety and performance. I asked several times to be able to drive it and finally the time has come. I have already done a few kilometers and it was enough for me to understand that the new Testastretta DVT engine is a good step forward in terms of smooth running and performance. The new electronics, managed by the inertial platform, has allowed the introduction of many innovations, such as ABS Cornering. I also really like the new instrumentation, which offers numerous possibilities in terms of connectivity, as well as the new handlebar controls, which are much more ergonomic and easy to use. I am sure that I will travel a long way on the new Ducati Multistrada 1200“. Last weekend, Carlos Checa and the new Multistrada 1200 were also protagonists in Courmayeur, during the second stage of the Winter Tour.

The new Ducati Multistrada 1200 will be available from the second half of March, in Europe, and from mid-April in the States. The ex-dealership price in Italy is 17.240 € for the Multistrada 1200 euros and starting from 19.540 € for the Multistrada 1200 S version.
