The ranking of the ten best bikes of 2018

Like every year, the Cycle World Magazine website, one of the most important in the United States, has drawn up the ranking of the ten best bikes of 2018. Unlike previous years, the ranking has been expanded to include some categories which over time have become an important part of the two-wheel market.

The top ten is made up of ten categories, and the ranking, in random order, is drawn up based on the best bikes for each category.

We start from the best Superbike of 2018, a title that goes to the Ducati Panigale V4 S, a cutting-edge motorcycle from both a technological and performance point of view. Among the Streetbikes, the prizes go to the Kawasaki Ninja 400, in the category of motorcycles with a displacement of less than 500cc, to the Triumph Street Triple R, for those under 899 cc, and to the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE, in the category of motorcycles with a larger displacement to 1000 cc.

The Honda Gold Wing Tour wins the award for best Touring motorcycle, while the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 is the best Cruiser motorcycle. Moving on to offroad bikes, again according to Cycle World Magazine, the KTM 1090 Adventure R is the best Adventure, the Husqvarna TE 250i wins the award as best Dual-Sport/Enduro and the Honda CRF450R is considered the best Motocrosser.

The second Italian motorcycle to enter the ranking of the ten best bikes of 2018 is the Aprilia Tuono RR, considered by the American website to be the best Standard Bike. The four-cylinder from Noale was considered the best thanks to its versatility and performance, unmatched by the competition.

The American market is one of the most important in the world and having two motorcycles in one of the most important rankings in the United States, in categories where the competition is 'ruthless', is a source of pride for the manufacturers themselves but also for the made in Italy.
