KYMCO, the news for the ATV family quads (part one)

In order to be able to support the increasingly specialized demands of the global market, the KYMCO motorcycle manufacturer introduces a range of models, which renew the price list of the so-called quads. The list of new features proposed by KYMCO ranges from the new Maxxer 450i to the renewed Mxu 300R, passing through the updates undergone by Mxu 500i and Uxv 500i. All are collected in the ATV family, which combines quadricycles with engines produced by the manufacturer.

The new KYMCO Maxxer 450i quad fits into the recently introduced category of medium-displacement sports quadricycles. The design of the new product is strongly inspired by the well-known most modern automotive SUVs: the almond-shaped front light clusters, the air intakes and the design of the aluminum alloy tires underline a certain amount of grit and aggressiveness.

Also new is the KYMCO Maxxer 450i engine, a four-valve, liquid-cooled, 443 cubic centimeter single-cylinder engine equipped with electronic fuel injection. The power is distributed to the four wheels by an automatic CVT variator, equipped with reduced gear and reverse gear.

The differential of the new KYMCO Maxxer 450i can be locked using a command. The mass of the quad is 279 kilograms, the tank has a capacity of 27 liters and the maximum speed is 67 kilometers per hour. The suspensions are independent, with a hydraulic shock absorber, and the braking system is made up of three discs with a diameter of 202 millimetres. The power, however, was not communicated by the manufacturer. The colors available for the new medium-sized quad are Bianco Ortles and Nero Maggiore. KYMCO Maxxer 450i is marketed at the price of 7.499 euros ex-dealership.

The KYMCO Uxv 500i is also renewed, taking advantage of the peculiarities of an electronic direct injection engine. The data on paper, well, they remain unchanged, substantially: 449 cubic centimeters, liquid cooling, a single cylinder, four valves, four-wheel drive with electronic insertion, automatic CVT variator with reverse and reduced gear and differential lockable with a button.

Same technical equipment, same refinements, therefore: KYMCO Uxv 500i, in fact, offers independent suspension at both the front and rear, three disc brakes, double at the front, 202 mm, single at the rear, 200 mm. The four-wheeled vehicle, halfway between a golf car and a garden tool, is painted only in the Botticino Red color, at a list price of 9.999 euros.
