The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has announced the development of a new version of the X-BOW quadricycle, one of the few links between the hemisphere of sports two-wheels and the globe of cars. KTM

The engine of the new sports R variant will still be that of the Audi S3, the mid-size C-segment sports car from the Four Rings car manufacturer. The engine, therefore, is a 2,0 liter TFSI, four-cylinder turbo petrol, which will apparently deliver 300 horsepower exclusively for the quadricycle in question. It will be placed on the floor in a new position, designed to improve behavior even further. The power increase will be accompanied by two new customization packages.

That is, the KTM X-BOW R can be chosen with the Sport kit, dedicated to traditional road riding, or the Race kit, which will approve track riding only. For both, new generation accessories, which will then be offered on a more general level with the PowerParts customization program (also accessible to those who already own a KTM X-BOW).

Meanwhile, the European manufacturer has also announced the development of the new generation of KTM X-BOW, which will be shown, like the R version, during the coming year. It is not clear whether the X-BOW R will be offered in a limited edition and at what price the sports version will be marketed.
