KTM RC 8C 2023: greater power and competitive character [PHOTO AND VIDEO]

Seven more horsepower and renewed instrumentation

La KTM RC8C for the 2023 it is the result of changes concerning the electronic and technical part. This motorbike, designed for use on the track, is the protagonist in a film proposed by KTM on Youtube.

More character

The specimen has a renewed look and interventions on the part are highlighted aerodynamics, an evolution associated with that of LC8c engine and electronics to be exploited on the circuits, as well as components of level and solutions for the weight containment.
There are 200 specimens for this project carried out in collaboration with Kramer Motorcycles. An event for the delivery of the first specimens next year was also reported 26th April at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia. A day on the track reserved for the 30 quickest customers in securing the model, supported on the occasion by former MotoGP riders who will act as tutors on the track, while a training of KTM and WP Suspension technicians will be available to fine-tune the bike . Each model has the serial number engraved on the upper triple clamp.
Together with the bold dark color of the hull, the aerodynamic appendages stand out which recall the sporting experience gained with the KTM RC16 used in the MotoGP and promote a useful aerodynamic load during braking and acceleration.

The evolution of on-board electronics allows pilots to adapt the characteristics of the second generation of the KTM RC8C, managing the adjustments of traction control, engine maps and engine braking. Also proposed are adjustments for the offset of the fork plate machined from solid CNC, for the steering head, for the accelerator response and the modulation of the Brembo Stylema® braking calipers with RCS19 Corsa Corta pump.
On the renewed dashboard, with GPS data acquisition, the fastest laps are indicated and the handlebar controls derived from the KTM RC16 allow the left thumb total control, even when the left foot is engaged with the reverse gear lever equipped with QUICKSHIFTER+ racing.
The agility of the model is supported by a chrome-molybdenum steel frame and the overall compactness is also confirmed by the adoption of a new Akrapovič titanium exhaust system. The bike is also equipped with a new WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension set-up, including a WP XACT PRO fork and a WP APEX PRO monoshock with a softer calibration. The dry weight is: 142 kg.

Moving on to the propulsion part, we highlight larger throttle bodies and a new fuel pump capable of increasing the pressure in the circuit. The increase in the preload of the clutch springs and the exclusion of the upper countershaft, recalibrating the one in the crankcase, bring advantages in terms of durability and the adoption of a PANKL oil radiator has improved thermal stability. Power is increased by seven horsepower, now reaching quota 135 horses at 11.000 rpm and the torque hits 98 Nm at 8.250 rpm, resulting from technical measures such as the use of titanium valves and connecting rods and two-segment pistons to contain the masses in alternating motion, with an increase in the compression ratio.

Proposal

The specimen, made in 200 unit, is sold at a price of 39.900 euros (VAT included), according to the information.
