All adult models feature updates to the chassis and aesthetics

In the MX2 World Championship, Pauls Jonass confirmed his absolute dominance in this class, helping achieve nine victories in ten seasons for the KTM 250 SX-F. But certainly one of the most important results in the history of KTM is the conquest of 3 consecutive AMA Supercross 450 titles obtained by Ryan Dungey from 2015 to 2017. Obtaining this incredible series of successes requires strong motivation, a constant commitment to development in competitions and an investment in growth programs for young talents. All this creates the best platform for the KTM SX range, as there is nothing more useful than developing bikes in competition and bringing the progress achieved back to the series product. For 2019, all adult models have been subject to a major update to the chassis which helped to further lighten the bikes. In fact, in the larger displacement segment the KTM 450 SX-F is far lighter than its rivals. All SX models feature a frame redesigned to ensure better rigidity, handling and straight-line stability, combined with a longer rear subframe, a refined seat for the rear axle pivot in the swingarm and completely new superstructures to increase ergonomics and offer the rider greater freedom of movement. A'new aesthetics with new graphics it completes the renewed shaped saddle and the new tank. There new filter case offers greater protection to the filter ensuring better air flow, while the exhaust systems have been perfected for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke; Overall this contributes to greater efficiency in power delivery and superior performance. THE new radiators ensure effective cooling and are in a better position for mass centralization, while a more powerful lithium-ion battery helps ensure that electric starting is always on time and adapts perfectly to the new wiring, reworked to obtain an electric system compact. The upper plate of the fork has been modified to improve handling and at the same time proves more practical for acting on the new fork adjustments. All models continue to boast impressive standard components, such as Brembo brakes, WP suspensions, NEKEN handlebar, Dunlop tyres and engine map selection switch, traction control and launch control available on 4-stroke motorcycles. Finally, a new, newly designed removable stand will be available for the entire range, offering a dual function. In summary, approximately 60% of the components of each motorcycle have been renewed.

All models in the KTM SX range have undergone significant engine modifications. The 250 SX-F and 350 SX-F models are equipped with a newly designed DDS clutch, while all 4-stroke models boast refined transmissions and a state-of-the-art Keihin engine management system, with an updated throttle body and improved electronics package. The KTM 125 SX, KTM 150 SX and KTM 250 SX, among other updates, feature improved carburettor adjustments and a new transmission and clutch. In addition to engine improvements across the range, the flagship KTM 450 SX-F model boasts a newly developed SOHC cylinder head to reduce weight and improve mass centralisation, a new camshaft with shorter valve timing and an improved surface and a low-friction DLC-coated timing chain guide.
