KTM SX2017 – It was 2015 when KTM presented the SX MY16 range in Maggiora. This year the circle has closed on the same Piedmontese track, with the presentation of the SX MY17 range which, in addition to small but significant technical updates, includes the brand new SX250 2-stroke in its "line up".

Maggiora welcomed the test of the new SX by presenting itself at its best, proposing the same track (renewed and lengthened) that will host the Motocross of Nations in just over two months. Technical manager Arnaldo Nicoli illustrated the main innovations applied to the MY17s. Of all the updates, the new map selector was particularly appreciated during the dynamic test. Installed as standard on the 4-stroke, in addition to offering two power and torque delivery modes, it allows you to activate the precious Traction Control and the very useful Launch Control in just a few seconds.

On the 2-stroke front, the focus was on the brand new SX 250, which was completely renovated this year, meeting the favorable opinion of those who still love to smell the mixture when engaged on the cross-country courses. During the test of the bike, the notable reduction in vibrations (thanks to a new countershaft) and the tractability of the new quarter-liter were appreciated, which is much easier to ride than the explosive and demanding 250 SX-F 4-stroke.

The general feedback was very positive, everyone liked the bikes, from the small 125 SX to the 450 SX-F and they were judged overall superior compared to the 2016 models.
