KTM – Gas Gas, the Spanish brand producing trial, enduro, cross, motard and quad bikes, is not in good shape from a financial point of view and is now in the process of liquidation. One of the contenders for the acquisition of Gas Gas is KTM, as the Austrian brand most likely wants to add its robust trials two-wheelers to its range.

There is a little problem, however, on the horizon. The employees of the Spanish GAS GAS are well aware of what happened to Husqvarna and its Italian employees, after KTM bought the Swedish brand from BMW Motorrad and transferred the activities taking place in Italy to Husky in Austria. KTM officials are scheduled to visit Spain early this week, but Gas Gas employees do not seem to want to welcome the "orange" officials with all honors. In fact, in a video published online you can see two piles of tires on fire and a mannequin with a KTM shirt hanged in front of the Gas Gas headquarters. If this message wasn't already clear enough, the Spaniards also put up signs in German and English that read "KTM: This is not your home".

However, KTM is not the only company considering acquiring Gas Gas. Italian MV Agusta was also linked to the operation.
