After expectations, announcements and presentations with great fanfare, next year on the price lists of KTM there will also be electric models Freeride, to a price less than 10 thousand euros. The marketing campaign carried out for some time on these bikes has been very active, with the debut in 2010 at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show where they were presented and then at the Eicma of the same year. On both occasions, the public and the sector press expressed very positive opinions on these new electric models from the Austrian company.

With a 2kWh lithium ion battery, the performance of the KTM Freeride is at the same levels as a 125 2-stroke with 30 HP and 44Nm of torque, thanks to electric propulsion. KTM's intentions are to put a model on the market sporty electric motorcycle which is kept distinct from urban electric models designed for cities. An electric off-road vehicle is a new path that KTM is trying to beat before others by taking advantage of its vocation for sport. Meanwhile, from the Austrian company, as soon as the production chain is at its maximum, they are ready to produce 5.000 Freerides per year.
