KTM: at EICMA 2019 three new products featuring high performance and an exploratory nature [PHOTO]

A new 1290 Super Duke R introduced

Together with the evolved powerful naked, also the new KTM 890 Duke R and 390 Adventure

Three new specimens reported KTM under the spotlight of the new edition of EICMA: 1290 Super Duke, 890 Duke e 390 Adventure.

The news from Mattighofen

Highlighted, as mentioned, is the new powerful one KTM 1290 Super Duke R. The same note “The Beast”, entirely renovated. A naked characterized by remodeled superstructures and a chassis linked to an engine LC8 even more powerful. Among the interesting aspects: a lower weight and refinements of the electronic part, with inertial platform and 6D bend sensor. It features a new generation chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame, as well as a rear subframe made of aluminum and composite materials. Also reported is a single-sided swingarm with monoshock fixed to a new linkage and manageable WP Apex suspension, as well as a Brembo braking system with Stylema calipers. The LC8 unit from 1301 cc offers 180 horses of power e 140 Nm of torque, to be compared to a dry weight of 189 kg. Reduced by 6 kg, as indicated, compared to the previous version. It starts from 18.720 euros, registration excluded, taking the price list again.
Moving on to the new one KTM 890 Duke R, represents a sporting evolution of the 790 Duke concept, thanks to a more powerful engine. A bike distinguishable by the dedicated graphics, colours, lower and flatter handlebars, as well as rear footpegs. The unit is new LC8c da 890 cc that develops 121 horses of maximum power e 99 Nm of couple. Values ​​to be considered together with a dry weight which amounts to 166 kg. Among the other aspects mentioned: adjustable WP APEX suspension, Brembo branded brakes with Stylema calipers and MCS pump, electronics with inertial platform and 6D lean sensor. Second price list of 11.900 euros, registration excluded.
So the new one KTM 390 Adventure, a model aimed at A2 license holders introduced in the respective overview signed by the Mattighofen company. An example with a low weight, the dry value amounts to 158 kg, which favors its versatility of use in the city and in extra-urban areas. It has stylistic references that connect it to the more powerful 790 Adventure and technical factors that connect it to the 390 DUKE. Among the factors highlighted are also electronic solutions such as MTC, cornering ABS, interactive TFT display, LED headlight and over 50 KTM PowerParts accessories. The power is expressed by an engine derived from the 390 Duke, always repeating the statement it expresses 44 horses e 37 Nm of couple. It features a chrome-moly steel trellis frame derived from the 390 Duke, a 43mm WP APEX fork with open cartridge, manageable compression and rebound, plus a WP APEX monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound. Suspension travel is 170 mm at the front and 177 mm at the rear. The seat height amounts to 855 mm, with a suspension lowering kit that reshapes the height by 25 mm. The tank capacity amounts to 14.5 liters, with an estimated autonomy of over 400 km, as indicated. The picture is completed by 19-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels dressed with Continental TKC 70 tires, as reported. It starts, according to the price list excluding registration, from 6.550 euros.
