In a video proposed by KTM, on YouTube, describes the aspects ofAdaptive Cruise Control observing it in action KTM 1290 Super Adventure S.

The solution and the motorbike

The system Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), stands out in the equipment of the Adventure model. Defined in collaboration with Bosch, this solution is linked to a radar located under the front headlight with automatic adjustment of the distance to vehicles in front of the motorbike. The safety distance can be set to five levels, as highlighted in the video.
La KTM 1290 Super Adventure S it is a combination of design, technique and technology. The superstructures and the various elements of the motorbike immediately demonstrate the exploratory aptitude of the example.
The bike is equipped with a seven-inch TFT screen that can be interacted with via the redefined handlebar blocks. There is also a Connectivity Unit which allows you to connect the smartphone via Bluetooth, managing incoming phone calls, the music play list and navigation (for a fee) through the KTM MY RIDE app.
The arrangement of the handlebars and levers is customizable and a rear subframe with revised measurements is also indicated considering the height of the saddle and the 23 liter tank with cap for "key less" refueling is new.
Among the new features from WP we highlight a Suspension PRO package, a package of additional settings (for a fee) which, in addition to the three settings Comfort, Street and Sport of the standard hydraulic damping, includes an Advance mode, allowing fine customization of the behavior of the fork and monoshock, the Auto mode which automatically adjusts the suspension response based on the rider's riding style and the terrain; then the Offroad mode for driving off-road with an optimized setting. Among the options in the PRO package we also highlight the possibility of managing the "anti-dive" function by recalling or deactivating it, of adjusting the mono preload on 10 levels or choosing between three pre-set options High, Standard and Low.
The combined solutions also include an inertial platform focused on the dynamism of the vehicle, in light of the new WP APEX suspensions with Semi-Active Technology (SAT) and new electromagnetic valves, as well as constant management of oil flows inside the fork and the mono-shock absorber. Also highlighted is an advanced traction control, being able to install the Rally driving mode as an option, added to the other Rain, Street, Sport and Offroad programmes.

It is possible to purchase the Tech Pack paid package which includes the Rally Pack with Rally riding mode (which allows you to adjust the intervention of the traction control on nine levels), the Suspension PRO Package, the Quickshifter+, the management of the engine torque in release phase (Motor Slip Regulation), Hill Hold Control to facilitate new starts uphill and the adaptive brake light in the event of emergency braking. The Rally Pack and the Suspension PRO package can be purchased separately, as mentioned.
Furthermore, there is a control of the cornering ABS, Offroad ABS and Traction Control, managed by the Motorcycle Stability Control sensitive to the lean angle, defined in collaboration with Bosch. The new 6D inertial platform includes two different control devices, one for rear wheel slip and the other for evaluating the lean angle.
The motorcycle is powered by an engine LC8 75° V-twin, Euro 5, from 1.301 cc. Heart which is combined with an advanced gearbox made by Pankl, with optimized and faster gearboxes using in particular the optional Quickshifter+, according to the information.
The power reaches altitude 160 horses , 138 Nm, to be evaluated against a weight 1,6 kg less than the previous model.
