KTM 890 Adventure R 2023: a new version that projects the gaze beyond [PHOTO]

A new travel enduro has been introduced which promises agility and performance to be exploited on the most demanding routes, this is the new one KTM 890 AdventureR for the 2023.

The specialised farming model

Among the immediately evident aspects of the bike, the new matching colors and the one-piece saddle stand out 880 millimeters from the ground, which promotes comfort while driving.
Presented in Idaho (USA), during the appointment KTM Adventure Rider Rally, this model recalls the KTM 450 Rally, which inspired some aesthetic features. It includes a new fairing, a new tank, a new engine protection and new superstructures. Overall, there is a refinement of aerodynamics and ergonomics, combined with greater agility, always keeping safety in mind.

Having climbed into the saddle, the motorcyclist also notices a new 5 inch TFT display which is combined with a USB-C connector. A solution with color pictograms and graphics that facilitate navigation between the menus, together with a Turn-by-turn Plus navigation system that allows you to select your favorite destination from the latest destinations already visited. There is also a new call function to call a contact from the list made up of a maximum of 10 favorite numbers, or one of the last 10 numbers already contacted.
Among the new features, we also highlight a choice of software present in the KTM PowerParts catalogue, but the bike includes a DEMO riding mode as standard with different riding modes and various options to try in the first 1.500 kilometres, in order to decide which package or individual options to combine to the model, as suggested.

From an electronic point of view, there is also an improvement, given that the new generation ABS electronic control unit can exploit the readings of the 6D sensor, in light of various parameters such as pitch and inclination, in order to place the right braking force in every situation. Those who practice off-road activities can have the support ofOFF-ROAD ABS as an integral function of the OFFROAD mode, or rely on the optional RALLY mode without having to separately choose the OFFROAD ABS.
From a technical point of view, a robust chassis is also indicated which rests on a chrome-molybdenum steel frame, which is associated with adjustable WP XPLOR suspensions.
The propulsive heart is a parallel twin 889 cc paired with a six-speed transmission. The expressed power reaches altitude 105 horses (77 kW) at 8.000 rpm, while the torque 100 Nm at 6.500 rpm.
