KTM 890 Adventure R 2023: the lively character of the new model [VIDEO]

As part of the series “BIRCHY APPROVED” proposed by KTM on YouTube, the expert Chris Birch describes and talks about the different aspects of the new one in a video KTM 890 AdventureR.

The new travel enduro from the Austrian brand

A model that expresses a character devoted to adventure. The bike features a substantial chassis that includes a chrome-molybdenum steel frame and adjustable WP XPLOR suspension.
The engine is a parallel twin 889 cc and the power reaches a peak of 105 horses (77 kW) at 8.000 rpm with a torque of 100 Nm at 6.500 rpm. A six-speed transmission is paired with it.
The electronic part includes a new generation ABS control unit which can use data from the 6D sensor, taking into account parameters such as pitch and inclination, in order to apply the right braking force in every situation. Off-road you can use theOFF-ROAD ABS as an integral function of the modality OFFROAD, or you can rely on the optional mode RALLY without having to adopt OFFROAD ABS separately.

Among the features stand out a new fairing, a new tank, new superstructures and a new engine protection. The aerodynamic and ergonomic refinement is linked to strong agility, always taking safety into consideration.
In addition to the distinctive colors there is a one-piece saddle placed at 880 millimeters height and among the new features there is also a choice of software present in the KTM PowerParts catalogue. The DEMO riding mode is highlighted with different driving modes and various options to try in the first 1.500 kilometres, in order to decide which package or individual options to associate, according to the indications.
The model features a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster to which a USB-C connector is tied. It is a system with color pictograms and graphics that facilitate the passage between the menus, together with a Turn-by-turn Plus navigation system that allows the selection of the favorite destination among the latest destinations. Also highlighted is a new call function for calling a contact in the list consisting of a maximum of 10 favorite numbers, or one of the last 10 already called.
The bike visually evokes the KTM 450 Rally and is expected at Official KTM Dealers in the early months of next year.
