The motorcycle

There are several innovations regarding the aesthetic and technical aspects. Compared to the previous model, the front area now appears connected to the tank and the result recalls the KTM 450 Rally Replica for competition. It features a higher and more protective windscreen than that of the R version, as well as the superstructures that embrace the tank 20 liters and the tail are more extended, to protect the rider from air flows and protect the saddle from any accidental contact with the ground when off-road.
Forged aluminum cowl mounts are reinforced for superior strength, so larger GPS devices can be placed on the instrument cluster turret. The front mudguard is also new, designed to expel a greater quantity of water or mud.
Among the various aspects, the new graphics also stand out, conveying a sportier image, created with the "in-mold" injection process, already used on KTM off-road models, which makes them more resistant. We also note the renewed aluminum protections of the engine and tank, a new handlebar block which includes the emergency button and the adoption of Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres.
Moving on to the saddle developed in two parts, it is characterized by a different shape in the tank area and a new padding makes it more welcoming. The pilot's seat is adjustable in two positions a 840 e 860 millimeters, it is also possible to contain the height a 800 mm with an optional slimmer seat and suspension lowering kit, both found in the KTM PowerParts catalog.
The KTM accessories catalog also includes saddles for riders of greater or lesser height, such as one-piece Rally style saddles. Of particular note are the Ergo saddles heated by 850 mm o 830 mm and the heated one is also indicated for the passenger, in addition to the Rally saddles 865 mm825 mm.

Technology

The motorcycle is equipped with a new 5 inch TFT screen, which features a USB-C connector and anti-glare bonded mineral glass to better resist scratches.
The backlighting changes intensity while driving, based on the ambient light; therefore a refined synchronization between the screen and the KTMconnect app allows Turn-by-Turn Plus navigation (with the possibility of choosing the favorite destination among the latest destinations) and interaction with other functions.
A new feature allows you to set a list of 10 phone numbers or find the last 10 numbers called.
Another interesting innovation concerns the choice of software available in the catalogue KTM Power Parts, specifically the model is equipped with DEMO riding mode, being able to try all the driving modes and options in the first 1.500 kilometres, and then decide on the purchase of a package or individual options.

Technique and propulsive part

The bike features a 43 mm WP APEX fork which is now equipped with practical adjusters for adjusting the hydraulics in compression and rebound, while the APEX monoshock includes a new knob for adjusting the preload and new settings designed to promote comfort and respond to travel needs, whether traveling alone or even with a full load.
The engine is a 8 cc LC899c parallel twin, power output is managed via a ride-by-wire control and highlights important electronics that include riding modes Street, Offroad e Rain , together with the mode Rally proposed as optional.
Also highlighted is a new 9.3 MP ABS modulator, associated with the 6D inertial platform with constant data on the inclination, pitch, speed and general behavior of the vehicle. The ABS has also been refined, automatically adapting to the selected driving mode. If you choose Offroad or Rally mode, the ABS will automatically adopt the mode ABS Offroad, according to information.
The expressed power reaches i 105 horses with 100 Nm of couple.
