Updates and a more proactive engine

Versatility and dynamism are the highlighted aspects of the renewed one KTM 890 Adventure. Factors linked to updated suspensions, functional technological solutions and a livelier powertrain.

Features

La KTM 890 Adventure it can be considered an evolution of the 790 Adventure, with a profile and a slim layout that ergonomically recalls the examples used in rallies, equipped with a 20-litre tank that tends downwards, as indicated. It features a new robust and lighter rear subframe, designed to support the passenger and luggage. Anodized wheel hubs are mentioned, rather than powder coated, and the model is equipped with specific Adventure tyres.
Among the aspects listed there are also a two-part saddle adjustable for the rider and a low mudguard, therefore a varied overview of systems. An electronic package that includes three maps to adjust the Cornering Traction Control with an optional Rally mode and regulation of the engine torque in the release phase, also in this case optional, therefore ABS cornering sensitive to the lean angle. Also stands out is a TFT display that can be interfaced with the smartphone via the optional KTM MY RIDE app.
Various KTM PowerParts components are also offered, including heated saddle and grips, various combinations of side cases and tank bags, Quickshifter+ with refined settings and Cruise Control with the standard handlebar switch, still taking up the information.

Versatility and power

In the technical framework there are WP APEX suspensions which offer a travel of 200 mm to support dynamism, therefore a monoshock equipped with a new rebound damping adjuster and a functional knob to adjust the spring preload, optimizing the stability of the vehicle on different types of road surfaces. The front and rear brakes have been renewed to improve control.
The heart of the bike, compliant with Euro 5 standards, is a new engine LC8c da 889 cc with accentuated performance, considering 105 horses e 100 Nm of torque and the crankshaft with 20% more rotating masses, making it functional both in terms of sensations at low speeds and in terms of mass centralization and traction. An improved and strengthened clutch is also indicated based on the renewed performance.

Availability

The model is available at dealers starting since December 2020.
