From a visual point of view, the renewed enduro model is characterized by graphics and a peculiar combination of gray and orange. Among the new features there is also a new instrument panel which now indicates the gear engaged and the engine speed, as well as a button which allows you to deactivate the ABS without using “dongle key”, in case of extreme off-roading.
Several aspects are confirmed by recalling the previous example, to which others can be added that strengthen the versatility and character of the renewed KTM 690 Enduro R, as reported. The specialists intervened on the riding modes that can be activated via a handlebar switch: the Street mode keeps the ABS system operational on the wheels, while in the Offroad mode the ABS is deactivated on the rear wheel to manage the off-road dynamism. The ABS system also features a new modulator, allowing a transition from one mode to another while driving.
The model features a chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame combined with adjustable WP XPLOR suspension. The thrust is connected to an LC4 Euro 5 single-cylinder engine that develops 74 horsepower and 73,5 Nm of torque, as mentioned, manageable through functional standard electronics. An inertial platform is also mentioned which intervenes on the ABS and Traction Control, with safety and dynamism in mind.

Agility and performance are also connotative characteristics of the renewed one KTM 690 SMC R, distinctive and sporty considering the graphics combined with the colors.
An essential example, designed to convey a direct character and also equipped with an ABS modulator, as well as a new functional instrument panel. It features a further evolved Brembo braking system with the introduction of a new, more rigid Brembo M 4.32 monobloc caliper, which acts on a 320 mm front disc.
Also highlighted is a chrome-molybdenum steel frame which is associated with adjustable WP APEX suspensions and the aforementioned LC4 Euro 5 single-cylinder heart. Also in this case it can interact with the power and action of the ABS via a practical control positioned on the left side of the handlebar, to set driving in Cornering mode which allows the intervention of the Cornering ABS on both wheels and maximum intervention of the Traction Control. Or Supermoto which allows you to deactivate the systems on the rear wheel, in order to manage wheel slip during acceleration and braking.

Proposal

Available at dealers KTM starting since January 2021, through a new catalyst present in the silencer, the examples are Euro 5 approved and can be detuned to 35 kW with A2 license holders in mind.
