KTM 450 SMR: version for 2022 presented [PHOTO]

The specialised farming model

La KTM 450 SMR for the 2022, as mentioned, is characterized by a racing orange frame finish. The color of the frame is combined with the colors of the graphics and the new blue saddle cover.
The frame is made of chrome-molybdenum steel, defined with a robotic welding process in order to maximize overall precision and quality, achieving a balance between torsional rigidity and flexibility. Also interesting are the three-position handlebar adjustment and the geometry of the CNC milled fork plates with an offset of 16 millimeters, defining an optimal configuration for riding.
The dynamism at the limits of grip is also important and in this case the KTM specialists opted for WP XACT suspensions (a 48 mm with Bridgestone slick tyres. Also highlighted is the braking system with a Brembo four-piston radial front caliper, associated with a 16,5 mm floating front disc brake. Behind there is a 17 mm disc.

Thruster

The model is animated by a 4 cc 450-stroke SOHC single-cylinder engine. A compact and light heart, given an indicated weight of 27 kg. The single overhead camshaft features a sensor that allows for specific mappings on each ratio. Also highlighted are a 44mm Keihin throttle body, five-speed gearbox made by Pankl Racing Systems and Suter slipper clutch. The indicated power amounts to 63 horses.

Proposal

The example will be available at KTM dealers from September 2021, at the reported price of 11.155 euros.
