KTM 1290 Super Duke R: could an RR version arrive?

There are rumors of one “Beast” even more performing and exclusive, identifiable by one double R. Considering the rumors that have surfaced recently, a variant of the powerful naked signed could be presented KTMa 1290 Super Duke RR.

The rumors

They would be in all 500 specimens, keeping in mind these rumors about some aspects that would distinguish this limited series. On the model, again considering the rumors, various special parts and accessories could appear including: air ducts, levers, footrests, side panels and plates, as well as advanced WP Apex Pro suspensions and an Akrapovič exhaust system which would all contribute to a reduction in weight quantifiable in 9 kg, to be compared to the power expressed. Remembering the “Beast” already known, the roaring characteristics of a sporty naked stand out which features a redefined trellis frame in chrome-molybdenum steel with a torsional rigidity which, by recovering information, is three times greater than previous generations. The engine itself strengthens this rigidity. A new rear subframe is also listed in composite material, with aluminum and carbon, also highlighting the presence of a WP APEX suspension system, a more extended single-sided rear swingarm positioned closer to the sprocket, together with a redefined geometry for maximized grip .
Characterized by sporty shades, LED headlights, tilt-manageable 5-inch TFT screen instruments and various devices such as an inertial platform and 6D lean sensor, redefined riding modes (Rain, Street, Sport and an optional Track) and a further "Performance mode" option also highlights a lowered handlebar, adjustable footrests and a support connected to the shape of the approximately 16-litre tank. The seat height reaches 835 mm.
The engine is a two-cylinder four-stroke unit LC8 arranged in a V of 75° 1.301 cc. The expressed power amounts to 180 horses and the couple a 140 Nm, associated with a six-speed gearbox.
