The dynamism and character expressed by the 1.301 cc V-twin engine, which powers the new KTM 1290 Super Duke R, stand out in the film proposed by the Austrian brand on the occasion.

The specialised farming model

Evaluating the thrust compared to a dry weight of 189 kg, one can understand the liveliness of the specimen. The exhaust manifolds are aimed at optimizing flows, considering dimensions of up to 60 mm, as well as two emission catalysts. A characterizing and fiery sound emerges.
The new KTM 1290 Super Duke R expresses great potential, also evaluating the different characteristics. It features a redefined trellis frame made of chrome-molybdenum steel, featuring three times greater torsional rigidity than previous generations, considering the specifications. The engine itself consolidates this rigidity. There is also a new rear subframe in composite material, with aluminum and carbon. Among the highlighted aspects are also a WP APEX suspension system, a more extended single-sided rear swingarm positioned closer to the sprocket, together with a geometry redefined for greater grip. The list also includes variants with a darker or orange tone, LED headlights, 5-inch TFT screen instruments with tilt management and various devices including an inertial platform and 6D lean sensor, therefore redefined riding modes (Rain, Street, Sport and an optional Track) and a further “Performance mode” option, taking up the indications. Functionality and comfort are also highlighted, considering a lowered handlebar, adjustable footrests and a support connected to the shape of the tank itself, which can hold approximately 16 litres. The saddle height is 835 mm, still following the indications.
