KTM 1290 Super Duke GT: the presentation of the model for 2022 [PHOTO]

KTM 1290 Super Duke GT it is a Sport Tourer with a sports motorcycle chassis and interesting technological solutions, designed to travel dynamically, considering comfort and performance.

The motorcycle

The design of the model partly recalls the naked note of the Austrian brand, while still being distinguishable. The new Sport Tourer is covered with characterizing colors and graphics and important technological contents are also highlighted, starting from a new instrument panel TFT da 7 inches which allows you to manage the different adjustments with a new layout, keeping information and aesthetics in mind. There is also a new and robust joystick located on the left block.
A new navigation system referred to as Turn-by-turn PLUS also debuts on this model TBT+. A system developed through the KTM Connect with the projection of navigation instructions directly onto the new TFT display.
Developed by SYGIC®, the TBT+ system can also interact offline, allowing you to plan your itineraries and the NAVIGATION function uses maps in standard format, for example selecting one of the pre-set destinations directly from the screen, then carrying out an advanced search or reporting points of interest.
The system also allows you to bypass a point on the route, being able to recalculate the route by finding another available road to reach the selected point, furthermore the last ten destinations are automatically saved and made available for selection from the screen.
The adoption of new rims is also highlighted, the same ones present on the naked KTM 1290 Super Duke R and the weight of the unsprung masses is reduced by one kilogram compared to the previous wheels. Their spoked design appears sporty and these elements contribute to improving driving dynamics. Fits Continental ContiSportAttack 4 tyres.

Technique and performance

The model is equipped with semi-active WP APEX suspensions which act with a dedicated logic, given a monoshock preload adjustment based on the needs of a Sport Tourer example. The algorithm allows the motorcyclist to control the suspension according to four situations: Rider; Pilot and Passenger; Pilot and Baggage; Pilot, Passenger and Baggage. One is also included as standard anti-dive function.
There are also a ABS cornering and riding modes Street, Sport e Rain , to which the optional mode can be added Performance. For motorcycles that require something more, paid software is also available Tech Pach.
The engine complies with Euro 5 of the new KTM 1290 Super Duke GT it's a V-twin da 1.301 cc, combined with refined electronics. We note a power that reaches i 175 horses with a peak torque of 141 Nm.

Availability
