Adventurer nature and technological solutions

The different aspects of the model are highlighted by expert Chris Birch. A motorbike designed to be agile, distinguishable by its sporty shades, by its front fairing, handlebars, adjustable levers and footrests, and a distinctive light cluster. LED with daytime running lights, ALPINA aluminum spoked wheels that can accommodate tubeless tires with O-ring seals on the spoke nipples and specific Bridgestone covers. New superstructures are also highlighted, with the fuel contained lower as a function of a lowered center of gravity and the same dynamism.

The motorcycle is equipped with a new instrument panel TFT da seven inches associated with a new Connectivity Unit through which to display the various information. There are quick menus with turn-by-turn directions suggested by the KTM My Ride app, available for a fee. In addition to the methods Rain , Street, Sport e Offroad, an optional is also noted Rally which allows you to set the accelerator response on three levels and select one of the nine levels of rear wheel slip.
Various technological aspects including advanced electronic packages, considering the collaboration with Bosch. The new six-axis inertial platform is focused on the processing of data linked to position, behavior and inclination, determining the degree of intervention of the Traction Control, the regulation of the driving torque in the release phase (MSR) and the braking stability control (MSC), in addition to Offroad ABS. As needed, assistive devices can be limited or deactivated. There are also redefined optional software packages. The Rally Pack includes the aforementioned Rally riding mode, personalized throttle response, nine-level control of rear wheel slip; the Tech Pack includes the Quickshifter+, the adaptive brake light and all the functions of the Rally Pack, the regulation of the engine torque in the release phase, the Hill Hold Control.

A redefined concept

Refined weight distribution and ergonomics. Highlights are a steering head set back 15 millimetres, a die-cast swingarm with an extended open trellis and an engine rotated forward by 2°. The new tank made in three parts can contain 23 liters. The rear frame which supports a saddle developed in a single piece, present at 880 mm in height, has also been redefined.
The chassis includes renewed WP suspensions, with the adoption of WP XPLOR technology. An adjustable fork with fork legs is highlighted 48 mm, excursion of 220 mm and separate damping functions manageable via the rings at the head of the stays, therefore an adjustable WP PDS shock absorber with the same excursion. Brembo four-piston calipers with radial mount also appear.

A powerful heart

The powerplant includes new pistons, lighter crankcases, liner changes and a reworked dual exhaust manifold. Two separate radiators are also indicated, instead of the single unit that characterized the previous example. There are several aspects of the new engine 75° V-twin LC8 Euro 5 approved, with a low weight of 1,6 kg. A power of indicated 160 horses at 9.000 rpm e 138 Nm of torque at 6.500 rpm. Considering the collaboration with PANKL, the change is refined in the insertions. An evolution that can be perceived above all by installing the optional Quickshifter+.
