Kawasaki Z900: The version for new drivers is coming

Kawasaki Z900 – After the great success of the debut of the Z900, the Akashi company, to meet the numerous requests, will launch a 2017Kw version dedicated to A70 license holders by the end of 2.

The new version will be completely identical to the full power version, both from an aesthetic and technical point of view, without badges or distinctive signs that can differentiate it from its "big sister"; it will therefore be equipped with: the four-cylinder in-line engine equipped with multi-valve dual camshaft distribution, liquid cooling, electronic injection and six-speed gearbox with assisted slipper clutch. Nothing changes from the chassis point of view either, in fact it will feature the trellis frame and back-link rear suspension, all topped off with a sound worthy of the Z family.

The only difference concerns the maximum power, which as already mentioned, will be 70kW, to comply with the regulations of the A2 license with the possibility of being weakened to 35kW. However, let us remember that the standard version has a maximum power of 92 kW.

These modifications, both weakening it and bringing it to the original values, can be made exclusively at an official Kawasaki dealer. The changes are obtained with a new mapping of the control unit which is, as already mentioned, completely reversible.

The new Z900 (70kW) will be available in the following 4 colours: Candy Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black, Pearl Mystic Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black, Flay Ebony / Metallic Spark Black, Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Spark Black.
