Kawasaki Z1000SX, new from Intermot in Cologne
The Kawasaki motorcycle company has officially presented the new Z1000SX, a large touring bike, with a strong sporting accent: the pawn to be positioned, within the range, between the faired road Kawasaki ZX-10R (which we presented just yesterday, as you will remember) and the naked Kawasaki Z1000 tout court. The official debut took place at the Intemot Show in Cologne, the German motorcycle event scheduled until next Sunday.
The influences that come from the two combinations mentioned above translate, for the new Kawasaki Z1000SX, into performance, comfort and practicality. The Japanese motorcycle is equipped with a 1.043 cubic centimeter, four-cylinder in-line, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine, capable of providing the rider with 138 horsepower at 9.600 rpm and 110 Nm of maximum torque at 7.800 rpm. The maximum weight of the new Z1000SX is 231 kilograms, a handful more than the Kawasaki Z1000 Sport Urban Edition.
The sports two-wheeler, the new Kawasaki Z1000SX, is equipped as standard with an ABS system, double seat, chain transmission, six-speed gearbox, adjustable 43 mm front fork, fully adjustable horizontal rear shock absorber, adjustable windshield, double disc 300 mm petal front with four-piston calipers and radial connection, dual rear exhaust, analogue (rev counter) and digital LCD instrumentation (a screen for the remaining information).
We cannot tell you with certainty when the commercial debut of the new Kawasaki Z1000SX will be and at what price the motorcycle "prepared for long distances" (as the manufacturer himself defines it) will be sold to the public. There are two colors available for the new Kawasaki Z1000SX: Ebony and the classic Candy Lime Green.
