Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr. Martini, return to the past in “Special” sauce [FIRST CONTACT]

Source of inspiration is the legendary H1 500 MACH III

Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr. Martini – The 70s represented an explosion of creativity. A historical period that had a strong evocative charm and still has on new generations. After almost fifty years, Kawasaki felt the need to return to its origins with a unique project. The Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr.Martini. 100 unique pieces made by the famous Veronese customizer. An exclusive project, the Japanese brand's first real approach to the "special vintage" segment. Furthermore, Mr. Martini's choice seems rather appropriate to us.

The Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr.Martini is inspired by the H1 500 MACH III and was created by Nicola Martini, alias Mr. Martini, who created a complete but essential kit for the "already known" Kawasaki Vulcan S. It was born like this a real café racer that does not distort the original technical aspect of the Japanese motorbike. “The double seat, the long tail, the split exhaust and the round headlight were the first details that inspired me.” said Nicola Martini. The target of the Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr.Martini, in terms of customers, includes both the "over" people, those who loved the iconic Japanese two-wheeler of the 70s, and the younger ones who want to enter this new world of trends and customizations. Of course we have to consider it as a second bike. “It is a unique object. An exclusive product dedicated to those who love technology, but also design.” said Sergio Viccarelli of Kawasaki. “The project fascinated me straight away, I thought that the reference to the Mach series was the perfect choice to resume what Kawasaki had conveyed in the seventies, those strong emotions and that sense of freedom that only this brand is able to give.” added Mr. Martini. In short, the Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr.Martini is something that translates time.

The Kawasaki Vulcan '70 was previewed on 6 and 7 June at "Special", the new venue created by Mr. Martini, where you can enjoy excellent food surrounded by special motorcycles and particular objects. The setting immediately takes us into the world of Mr. Martini and that of the new "special" Kawasaki Vulcan 70 created by the Veronese customizer. A world made of precious pieces, passion and a great desire to ride a motorbike. Technically, as mentioned, nothing changes. The protagonist is the design of the motorbike. Martini's work is of excellent workmanship. He changes, but doesn't upset the Japanese bike. He values it. The new kit immediately catches the eye. The double seat, the side panels, the tail, the footrest kit (with supports) and the front levers. But also the handlebars, the front and rear lights. Without forgetting the turn signals, the paintwork and the split Zard exhaust. Compared to the Vulcan S, Mr. Martini moves the footrests and the handlebar grip backwards, innovations that modify the riding position for the better. Now it is more "aggressive", sportier, and less "touristy", like the model from which it takes inspiration. The 649 cc parallel twin with 60 HP of power and the dynamic qualities make the Kawasaki Vulcan 70 by Mr.Martini is easier to handle both in traffic (for our test, that of Verona) and if you want to have fun around the bends. We must also thank the size of the wheels (120/70R18 the front, 160/60R17 the rear), synonymous with good agility even in tight spaces, and the suspensions, already appreciated on the Vulcan S.
