A refined model considering practicality and dynamism. The color variants are proposed for 2022: Metallic spark black/metallic flat spark black; Metallic phantom silver/metallic flat spark black/metallic spark black e Candy lime green/metallic flat spark/metallic spark black.

The bike features a redefined fairing with simplified four-position windshield adjustment and, as an option, a larger windshield.
Headlights and directional indicators are full LED and for the first time on a Versys 650 there is KTRC traction control selectable on two levels.
The instrumentation is visible on a color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, by connecting your mobile device via the Kawasaki Rideology app. A USB socket is also available among the original Kawasaki options.

The chassis is slim, a tubular layout associated with the narrow profile of the engine, the long-travel suspensions and the wheels 17 inches. The tank can hold 21 liters of fuel, promising a wide autonomy. Does not change the engine setting, a parallel twin from 649 cc.
Moving on to the set of side cases, the option with color matching the paintwork is confirmed, while the top box is renewed and more spacious. We highlight the versions pre-equipped with original Kawasaki accessories. For the powerful Sport Tourer we highlight: keyless ignition, LED cornering light and tire pressure monitoring via a 6,5-inch color TFT screen, driving mode, power mode and side bags. The color combination with is expected for 2022 Emerald Blazed Green / Metallic Diablo Black / Metallic Graphite Gray and also a standard Kawasaki SPIN solution, a “screen in screen” infotainment system that allows a connection to the smartphone and access to around 20 apps on the TFT panel for different functions.
The driving aids include Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

The first, with three selectable settings, operates on the distance of other vehicles from the moving vehicle, giving a visual warning via an LED strip above the screen, when the motorbike reaches a pre-established safety distance from the vehicle proceeding in front. The pilot always has control of the vehicle.
The Adaptive Cruise Control is always connected to three possible distance settings from surrounding vehicles and, when the motorbike reaches the set distance setting, it actively manages itself, assisting in any deceleration. The brakes are automatically activated and the engine speed slowed to maintain the indicated distance. As the distance increases you gradually return to a set cruising speed, as indicated. The functions already mentioned are connected to the front radar sensor, while the rear one is focused on BSD or blind spot detection, when a vehicle is present in the so-called blind spot of the motorcycle. A light in the rearview mirrors illuminates as a signal to the motorcyclist.

Another feature of the bike is the engine platform Balanced Supercharged, designed and produced by Kawasaki. Aspect associated with the various technical solutions such as electronic suspensions, engine brake management control, multi-level traction control, riding modes, launch control, a cornering management function and a standard quick shift during engagement and downshifting.
Also reported is a standard function called vehicle hold assist (VHA) which supports when starting uphill even considering a fully loaded passenger and luggage. When the motorcyclist stops, the VHA is activated after pressing the rear and/or front brake lever. The system automatically disengages when the rider accelerates on the throttle again or when the side stand is lowered.
Also highlighted is the emergency stop signal, another function that “pulses” the brake light in the event of an abrupt stop.
