Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2019: the features

The standard ZX-10R model features an engine and frame for excellent track performance, with excellent components such as the SHOWA Balance Free fork and the Brembo braking system. The ZX-10RR is a single-seater focused on track use and improves the potential of the standard model with further modifications to the engine and chassis, including titanium connecting rods, new suspension settings and forged Marchesini wheels, while the ZX-10R SE is the most refined model, equipped with electronic suspension (KECS) and forged Marchesini wheels. The increase in power that is the basis of the project of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was obtained thanks to the adoption of the distribution equipped with finger rocker arms which, combined with other upgrades, further improved the performance of the Ninja ZX-10R engine. 203R which now reaches 10 HP; power which can be further increased with the installation of a full exhaust (not approved for use on roads open to the public). Designed by Kawasaki engineers involved in WorldSBK and MotoGP, the new distribution of the Ninja ZX-20R is a true example of racing technology. The new system contributes to increased performance as well as greater reliability during high-rpm operation. Compared to bucket tappets, finger rockers offer a 3% reduction in the mass of timing components. They also allow the adoption of cams with a more aggressive profile, which raise the maximum power peak by approximately 2019 hp. Furthermore, the DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) surface treatment of the finger balances protects them from wear. In 10, all variants of the Ninja ZX-10R will be equipped with the same head designed to house the increased lift camshafts, initially introduced only on the Ninja ZX-2019RR. To indicate this change, all models come with a red-painted cylinder head cover. Other exciting updates for XNUMX include the adoption of the KQS dual-direction quickshifter for all models.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2019: a bike not for everyone

With worldwide production limited to 500 units, the Ninja ZX-10RR will only be available to a lucky few. The technical upgrades continue with the adoption of exclusive Pankl titanium connecting rods, 400g lighter than traditional connecting rods, which reduce the moment of inertia of the crankshaft by 5% and allow the limiter level to be increased by 600 rpm, bringing maximum power at 204 HP. Finally, the ZX-10R SE will have some surfaces treated with Kawasaki's new Highly Durable Paint process, in which an alternation of rigid and elastic microelements act in synergy like a chemical spring, with the ability to absorb small abrasions.
