Kawasaki J300 at EICMA 2013

Kawasaki ready to launch its first scooter in Europe

With the ambition of increasing its presence in the already large urban and extra-urban mobility market, Kawasaki is implementing an ambitious project to introduce its first scooter to the European market.

With a design entirely studied by a dedicated design team, the new scooter Kawasaki J300 presents interesting visual cues that Mr. Fukumoto, head of the KHI style center, comments as follows: “It was very important that our first step into the European scooter market was made with a vehicle that contains the avant-garde stylistic elements that distinguish Kawasaki design . We are happy to have achieved this with the styling of the new J300.”
Regarding the guiding principles of the design philosophy, Mr Fukumoto added: “J is for Jyounetsu which means passion in Japanese. We approached the style and design of the J300 with the same passion that we put into the study of all our models."
The demand for fashionable, easy-to-ride and reliable scooters is recognized at European level.
Kawasaki has filled a glaring gap in its product offerings.
J300 joins the range of successful motorcycles for urban transport such as the popular ER series and the functional Versys.
On the mechanical basis, extended to engine and chassis, provided by our strategic partner Kymco, the development, design and engineering approach to the final product were developed exclusively by the Akashi design and engineering team with the support of the European research department and development.
Available at official dealers since the end of 2013, the J300 is ready to fascinate Kawasaki enthusiasts looking for a brilliant commuting vehicle as well as attract new users who can enjoy the extraordinary experience of the Kawasaki brand.
J300 will be presented to the press and public at the Milan Motor Show on 5 November 2013.
