Kawasaki H2R, the racing car from the Akashi house dresses up as a drag bike [VIDEO]
Gadson posted a quarter-mile time of 8,213 seconds
Kawasaki h2r – Kawasaki has unveiled a one-off example of its Ninja H2 created specifically for drag racing, a form of motorcycle racing against the clock similar to car dragstering. The superbike, capable of delivering 296 CV, was presented to New York International Motor Show from the eleven-time drag racing champion Rickey Gadson.
This special custom features a new Adam's Performance 'Strong Arm' swingarm, which increases the wheelbase from 1435 to 1715 millimeters for greater traction and stability off the starting line, and other upgrades that include a BST carbon fiber rear rim, while the 'stock' front rim in die-cast aluminum has been confirmed, a JRI rear shock absorber used by Gadson's racing bike and a push-button air-shifter on the handlebars for upshifting during acceleration. Gadson's Kawasaki Ninja H2R has, also, lost its mirror paint in favor of a finish more traditional green, in classic Kawasaki style. At Rockingham Dragway, North Carolina, the special Kawasaki H2R recorded a time of 8,213 seconds in the quarter mile at a speed of 268 km / h.
Kawasaki presented its revolution, the Ninja H2R, during the last edition of'Intermot Cologne, where it amazed everyone with its homologable 300 HP supercharged engine. The Akashi house responded only a month later in Milan by presenting, during the International Motorcycle Exhibition, theEICMA, the 'street-legal' variant of the model, the Ninja H2, also powered by a 4 cc in-line 1000 engine with supercharger, but with around 100 hp less.
