The superbike Kawasaki Ninja H2R was certainly one of the undisputed protagonists of this edition of Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, in Germany, which ended last Sunday. And how could it not be with a 998 cm3 Supercharged engine with 300 horsepower wrapped in a carbon fiber fairing and a green trellis frame.

When the company presented the concept it wasn't entirely clear whether Kawasaki would actually be able to build the street version of its H2R. A recent video indicated, however, that the company may be pursuing a dual effort called Track and Street.

The track version looks very similar to the one we saw at the German show, while the road version will have a different fairing and more space to accommodate the rear license plate. We will have more information on this pair of twins anyway at the EICMA on November 4th in Milan.

The video released by Kawasaki, a track test performed by its testers at Autopolis, presents the version of the H2R seen in Cologne, in all its power, while the road model will be detuned to 200 HP. The Kawasaki H2R seen on the track immediately proved to be impressive with its Supercharged four-cylinder which was kept at bay by a World Supersport control unit and by some particular aerodynamic appendages, as confirmed online by its test drivers.

La Kawasaki h2r it seems he still passed the 210 mph corresponding to 322 km/h, nothing extravagant for a super sports car on the track, but now what we ask ourselves is how far the road version of the Akashi racing car can be pushed in terms of speed given that the motto of the project is “What would you do if you could build a truly limitless motorcycle?”
