Kappa Morphing Metal Lock: the new fastening system for soft bags
MML is ideal combined with the RA318 and RA319 bags
Kappa launches on the market Morphing Metal Lock, the new patented closing system, currently available on the two of the new Kappa "Racers", the RA318 , RA319.
Kappa Morphing Metal Lock
Kappa's Racer Range line is full of soft solutions for storing luggage on motorbikes and scooters and for 2019 all the new features presented during the latest edition of EICMA are arriving. The main ones are a leg bag; one for tank with Tanklock flange; a saddle trio consisting of a waterproof roller bag and RA318 and RA319. The latter two are equipped with a technical feature, patented by Kappa, which works in tandem with the "roll top" closure system which guarantees waterproofness and which allows the size of the bag to be compacted according to the contents. Morphing Metal Lock exploits the "shape memory" of a particular metal used in the form of a bar, sewn inside so as to follow the movements of the closing flaps up to the desired point, to then be bent downwards at the two ends. This operation allows you to move your hands, without the bag reopening, and complete the closure using the dedicated adjustable crossed strap.
Morphing Metal Lock RA318 and RA319
The Kappa RA318 bag has an internal capacity of 32 liters, the Kappa RA319 offers 19. Externally they are made of a water-repellent fabric tested to resist UV rays, while internally there is a waterproof lining in a beautiful orange. The volume can be modulated by the action offered by the MML system and the vertical adjustable strap. The attachment to the saddle, top case or luggage rack occurs via another 4 straps which, once the bag is detached, hook together. There is no shortage of carrying handles. The bags are available in two color variants: Black and Gray at a price of 129 euros for the RA318 and 84 euros for the RA319.
