Returning to the collaboration with the driver from Forlì, Andrea Dovizioso was called to fill the role of exceptional driver by Massimo Tartarini, President and CEO of Italjet Spa, supporting the technical team with an important contribution in the pre-production tests of the Dragster.
Tartarini himself underlined the idea linked to the new Dragster, a scooter designed as “a small superbike to use in the city”, in order to convey emotions that can be connected to a sports motorcycle. “I want Dragster to best express all its potential: this is why I thought I should rely on an undisputed protagonist of Motorsport, a driver famous throughout the world. I immediately thought of Andrea, a person I have always admired, a professional and a man capable of looking beyond", commented.
For Dovizioso himself, an unprecedented work in the development of a scooter with a strong character: “Dragster is a concentration of energy. When I saw it for the first time I was impressed. I am happy to be able to contribute with the technicians to the development of the chassis, braking system and engine. It's the details that make the difference and in Dragster the details are very careful", he has declared.
