Italjet Dragster 559 Twin: the six-speed scooter at EICMA 2023 [PHOTO]

Among the brands present at EICMA 2023, at Rho Fiera Milano until Sunday 12th, there is Italjet. The Italian house presented, in absolute preview, the Dragster 559 Twin, the first model in the category with an innovative six-speed gearbox. It was still shown in prototype form, but will arrive on the market at the end of next year, also in the A2 license version.

The quality characteristics

“With Dragster 559 Twin we have created an unprecedented, revolutionary and unprecedented vehicle in the two-wheel panorama – the words of the president Massimo Tartarini – To do this we took inspiration from the world of sports motorcycles, creating a vehicle that combined the fun of riding a motorbike with the lightness and agility typical of a scooter."

This new model, in fact, proposes a new six-speed gearbox, combined with a multi-disc fraction in an oil bath and electronic selection. The Dragster 559 Twin draws inspiration from the superbike and is powered by a 4-stroke twin-cylinder engine with 58 HP and 55 Nm of maximum torque, but will also be available detuned to 48 HP, for owners of the driving license A2.

The Dragster 300

This is the novelty in the foreground, but Italjet also brought the definitive version of the to the Lombardy event Dragster 300, with a lightweight trellis frame and single-sided front suspension. Among the updates there is the introduction of the TFT display and three new colors: Black with red frame; White/Fluo yellow with fluo yellow frame and racing graphics in the Malossi version. It will arrive on the market in January, with a price of 6.999 euros (fc).
