Comparison with previous data in the same period
Six fatal accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles have been reported, considering what is reported on the portalASAP. As reported, last weekend 29.408 patrols between the Traffic Police and the Carabinieri were engaged in the area, protesting 17.964 violations of Traffic laws with relative loss of 27.764 driving license points, as well as the withdrawal of 638 driving documents e 764 registration documents, always using the figures listed. Checked the status of 11.794 drivers, via breathalyzers and precursors.
However, the number of accidents recorded, including injuries and deaths, is significant, although decreasing as mentioned, compared to the same weekend in recent years. In addition to the comparison with the 2018, a table was proposed with data relating to the same period in 2016 e 2017. In any case the values appear smaller.
Taking into consideration the findings of Police Police e Carabinieri, to be added to those of the Local Police not considered in the circumstance from what emerges, the accidents which occurred over the weekend were therefore overall 558, respect to 579 verified last year. Sign in 442 injured, a smaller number than 454 counted among 24-26 August of the 2018 e 12 victims. Last year they were unfortunately 20 deaths, while 16 the previous year e 22 in 2016 according to the values in the table. As mentioned, there were six fatal accidents involving motorcyclists. Three of the 12 Total casualties did not exceed 30 years of age, and three fatal cases occurred between 22:00 pm and 06:00 am the following morning, according to indications.
