Honda's motorcycle and scooter mechanic course was a success

Course for motorcycle and scooter mechanics – On 29 July 2016, the first "Course for motorcycle and scooter mechanics" held within the Honda Italia Industriale SpA factory in Atessa, in the province of Chieti, ended. For the first time, Honda and the only Italian school of excellence dedicated to the study and provision of courses on two-wheel mechanics have collaborated to offer a one-of-a-kind training course.

During the four-week course, theory and practice alternated with a perfect balance following the proven Scuolamoto teaching program and integrating the contributions of Honda technicians who illustrated the numerous production processes and their importance for acquiring a good knowledge of the mechanics of motor vehicles. In particular, the visit to the factory departments underlined those phases where the manual skills of the human operator are still irreplaceable and allowed the participants to measure themselves in an experiential way with the difficulties of a profession that still has "artisanal" phases within it.

The students' enthusiasm in learning repair techniques characterized the first day of the course where the technicians of the Honda Maintenance Department supported them in those operations where it is important to develop good manual skills. After two weeks of the course, there was great satisfaction in seeing the students begin to disassemble and reassemble the engines with the aim of seeing them restart without any support from the instructors. At the end, the roar of the engines celebrated the success of the training experience, giving the right reward to those who were the protagonists of this success. It should be noted that the final part of the course was dedicated to the theoretical and practical study of power and electrical systems, all useful topics for a good preparation on all-round mechanics.

The educational journey of the last week was also characterized by a "riding experience" organized with Honda test riders who accompanied students and instructors on a sightseeing tour on the slopes of the Maiella to discover the natural wonders of Abruzzo and the performance of the motorbikes in the Honda range 2016. Even though the course has just ended, Honda Italia and Scuolamoto are already working on future projects. The success of this edition and the huge expression of interest received from every part of Italy paves the way for other repeats in the months to come to satisfy the desire of those who want to acquire knowledge of the mechanics of two wheels in a special and absolutely engaging way .
