Husqvarna – Just one year after being acquired by the CEO of KTM Stefan Pierer Husqvarna Motorcycles has registered an all-time sales record which reached 16.337 units. This is the most positive balance sheet for the Swedish brand over its 111-year history.

With these record sales Husqvarna has achieved over 100 million in turnover, a fundamental metric to continue to be noticed within the market and, above all, to stand out in relation to KTM itself. Putting these numbers in perspective Husqvarna sold 10.700 units in 2012, the last year in which it was under the "umbrella" of BMW Motorrad, and this means that in a two-year period alongside KTM the Swedish brand recorded a growth in sales equal to 50%. Husqvarna has seen this growth especially in its enduro segment, with approximately 6000 motocross bikes sold worldwide in 2014 alone.

While the growth rate is impressive the Swedish brand is far from being self-sufficient. Fortunately, we can expect that these numbers will continue to grow, especially if the brand decides to push further into the market road segment. In fact, the road range by Husqvarna is under development, preceded by the powerful FS 450 and 701 supermotards and the 401 Vitpilen and 401 Svartpilen concepts. Furthermore, the Swedish brand also faces a long road ahead to develop its sales network, especially in North America, which is a key market for the brand. Let's hope, then, that Husqvarna can maintain this momentum by highlighting some eye-catching models in both the off-road and on-road segments, at the same time.
