Husqvarna: Pela Renet new coordinator of the rally team

Husqvarna - Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing announced the appointment of Pela Renet in the role of new coordinator of the Rally team. Following his retirement from racing due to the consequences of the injury suffered at the Atacama Rally in August 2017, the Frenchman will remain with Husqvarna Factory Racing, continuing to assist the team in its commitments to the Cross Country Rally World Championship and the Dakar.

Pela Renet has had a varied and very successful racing career. His first world title came in motocross, when he was crowned FIM MX3 world champion in 2009. Pela then turned to enduro, where he won numerous French championships and two further world titles, in 2012 and 2014. The transition to rallies, in 2015, saw Pela race the Dakar for the first time, realizing an old dream of the multiple world champion. After immediately impressing with his speed and technique on his rally Husqvarna, Pela finished his best Dakar in seventh place in 2017. “I am honored by this role as coordinator of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rally team – said Renet -.
