Husqvarna – The Prime Time Loft space in Milan was the venue chosen by Husqvarna Motorcycles to present the first three models of the new range Real street which marks the definitive return of the brand of Swedish origins to the road motorcycle segment. Conceptually inspired by the simplicity of the classic The Silver Arrow from 1955, these three motorcycles aim to attract a new generation of urban motorcyclists, characterized by a great sense of freedom and little desire to be placed in a specific category.

The iconic Vitpilen in the 401 and 701 versions they enter the high quality motorcycle market, while the Svartpilen it expresses the same design concept in a slightly rougher way and inspired by the off-road world. These models combine the simplicity of a clearly Swedish-inspired design with modern technology and the premium quality that characterizes Husqvarna. They are all based on a technically advanced package, with the most advanced and high-performance single-cylinder engines available on the market today, a refined steel tube trellis frame and superior quality suspension.

The Vitpilen (Swedish for “White Arrow”) 401 is a simple but avant-garde motorcycle, which offers an approach never seen before on a vehicle with a displacement of less than 500cc and a new style in the motorcycle world in general. Introduced as a “concept” at EICMA 2014, it paved the way for Husqvarna Motorcycles' return to the road motorcycle segment. Contemporary and minimalist, this vehicle with clear urban inspiration is based on a layout reduced to the maximum but state of the art, which features a refined 375cc single-cylinder engine with ride-by-wire system, a compact trellis frame with great dynamic qualities , an advanced suspension package made by WP and quality brakes with ABS as standard. Weight and power are best in class. The model is completed by premium features such as LED headlights and high-quality spoked wheels. The extremely clean shapes define comfortable ergonomics, and the compactness and lightness of the motorbike guarantee an accessible riding position that allows you to have maximum control of the vehicle in every situation.

Presented together with vitpilen 401, Svartpilen (Swedish for “Black Arrow”) is one of the milestones in the new era of Husqvarna Motorcycles. Based on the same advanced technological platform as its sister, the Svartpilen 401 presents itself as an urban explorer with rougher shapes, interpreted in a fresh and modern way, with a unique style that differs from the classic approach of competing products. The Svartpilen 401 exemplifies the combination of simplicity and functionality typical of Swedish school design, with the practical luggage rack on the tank, protections such as a sump guard and exhaust pipe protection and knobby tires making it very versatile. The handlebar bend, high and straight in off-road style, contributes to having a comfortable riding position ready to easily tackle both urban traffic and country roads.

Presented for the first time at EICMA 2015, the vitpilen 701 it is the flagship of Husqvarna Motorcycles' “Real Street” range. Its visionary, modern and advanced shape represents the logical next step in the brand's vision for its road products. The pure design, free from influences from the two-wheel sector, is faithful to the values of the Husqvarna brand. A product designed for those who see the motorbike as an external expression of their spirit, and which offers a new way of access to motorcycling culture. In the Vitpilen 701, the most advanced engineering meets pure and authentic style to offer a modern, sincere and uncompromising driving experience. Its 692cc single-cylinder is equipped with all the most modern solutions, from four-valve distribution to the latest generation electronic management, and is today the most advanced and high-performance on the market thanks to its power of 56 kW (75 HP) and torque of 72 Nm at 6.750 rpm. The electronic injection is controlled by a ride-by-wire system which allows power to be delivered in an immediate, precise and modulated way. The Keihin throttle body features a motorized throttle valve, controlled by the electronic control unit (EMS). Special sensors continuously send information to the control unit, which adjusts the throttle opening accordingly to guarantee perfect delivery and response to the throttle control. The chassis is based on a lightweight trellis frame which ensures precise and confidence-inspiring behavior in all conditions. The chrome-molybdenum alloy steel tubes are laser cut, hydroformed and robot welded to ensure consistent, defect-free quality. The carefully calculated torsional and longitudinal stiffness values give the driver an extremely accurate feeling; the perfect weight distribution and the reduced turning radius make life easier for those driving in urban contexts. The APTC (Adler Power Torque Control) slipper clutch allows for higher speeds both when entering and exiting corners. The system maximizes rear wheel grip during more decisive acceleration, and avoids instability and bouncing of the rear axle during more decisive and intense braking, offering greater control and impeccable downshifts. The Brembo brake calipers work monitored by the most advanced ABS system from specialist Bosch, which guarantees the maximum level of safety when braking conditions vary but can also be excluded for more experienced riders. To complete the new road range from Husqvarna Motorcycles, a complete range of dedicated accessories and clothing is available that allow you to customize your motorcycle and keep up with the latest trends in casual clothing for motorcyclists.
