Husqvarna: a great enduro celebration in Bisano di Monterenzio
The overall classification of the Enduro Sprint was won by Guido Conforti, followed by Cristian Miguel Arriegada
Husqvarna Motorcycles Italy – Sunday 22 July, Bisano di Monterenzio, in the province of Bologna, was the headquarters of Enduro Sprint, the signature special event Husqvarna which turned out to be a great happening for lovers of dirt roads and knobby wheels.
Enduro Sprint: the event
Enduro Sprint proved to be a winning format because it was capable of uniting many enthusiasts for a spectacular competition in one very suggestive scenario. It was him who did the honors Alex Salvini who commented on the event as follows: “The tour included a first part on a counter-slope with some jumps, which was very fun and smooth. Then you crossed a field until you reached a stream, from which the more enduro section began with an uphill mule track and several hairpin bends that took the rider into a forest until he reached the top of the hill. From that point, descending towards the valley, we faced a route similar to an enduro test, which led the rider to an area close to the paddocks and which still included a couple of counter-slope hairpin bends, with the last jumps to be made before arriving at the 'I arrive. Overall, the lap was designed to be quite fast with few restarts and therefore favor smooth driving, which is particularly appreciated by amateur drivers. Average length of the ride between 6 and 6,30 minutes".
Enduro Sprint: the race
The race started at 10am with a reconnaissance lap which allowed all participants to become familiar with the route. Then things got serious. Each time the start of a competitor who completed the five scheduled timed laps was five. It's a shame that a violent downpour forced the race direction to cancel the fifth special test, assigning the titles based on the results of the first 4 laps. Guido Conforti dominated the Overall classification, followed by Cristian Miguel Arriegada less than four seconds from first place on a two-stroke. Class winners in addition to Conforti (Top Class) and Arriegada (2T) were Luca Colombo (250 4T), Simone Rossi (450), Cristian Angella (Expert), Leonardo Calosi (Under 23) and Massimo Chiellini (Veteran). The next appointment with the Husqvarna Motorcycles amateur enduro will be the fourth stage of the Husqvarna Enduro Trophy 2018 scheduled for September 9th in Castiglion Fiorentino (AR).
