The engine that will power the next Husqvarna model has been officially revealed, which given the premises, it seems like it will be something truly remarkable. According to many, in fact, the next Husqvarna 900 will be the first truly important motorcycle produced by the brand after the move to the BMW group.

We were, however, talking about the engine, which will officially be the 800 cc parallel cylindrical already seen on the naked F 800 R and on the enduro F 800 GS. However, being a two-wheeler designed above all for sporting use, there will be a decisive update of the mechanics, the main objective of which will be to increase the displacement up to 900 cc, confirming the rumor that has been circulating for some time about the production of a motorcycle of this type. The exhausts and filter box have been redesigned, in order to significantly increase performance both in terms of maximum power and acceleration. Furthermore, the masses would have been rethought and the overall weight would have been significantly reduced.

In other words, we expect a truly notable step forward from this brand new 900 cc, which should be suitable both in low rpm situations and when it will be necessary to express maximum power without leaving anything in terms of performance on the way. Certainly the Husqvarna 900 promises to be only the first of a long series of new vehicles, in which the technicians at work seem to have great confidence. Certainly as a start it is very promising, but as such it can only be a first step and we are waiting to also know the other characteristics before expressing a definitive judgement. BMW Motorrad's experience, however, should be able to guarantee the know-how necessary to build something truly explosive.
