Husqvarna – The Swedish motorcycle manufacturer Husqvarna has released a video that goes through the most important and competitive moments of its long history.

This year, in fact, the manufacturer is celebrating 111 years of history who transformed Husqvarna Motorcycles into a premium brand in the offroad sector. In the celebratory video, the Stockholm company recalls its first steps in the world of competitions and the first successes in the categories Motocross, focusing above all on the triumphs of its pilot – legend Torsten Hallman. And of course, the video also takes a snapshot of the current state of Husqvarna Motorcycles, showing the production process of the latest models.

Husqvarna's 100-year history began in 1903 when the first motorcycles began to be produced in Sweden. In the 1920 production expanded and even i first engines. in Years' 60 Husqvarna won the categories 250 and 500 cc of the World Cup Motocross, while in the Years' 90 won the World Cup by a landslide Enduro e, in the first years of the new millennium, also managed to establish itself in Supermoto. In 1987 the motorcycle division was sold to Cagiva, part of the MV Agusta Group, and, after the brand's transfer to Italy, a group of engineers left to found Husaberg, now owned by KTM. On 19 July 2007, MV Agusta sold Husqvarna to BMW for 93 million euros, but the main headquarters remained in Varese, in particular in the Cassinetta di Biandronno factories. The last definitive change of ownership occurred in 2013 when it was sold to Pierer Industrie AG owned by Stefan Pierer, CEO of KTM.

In recent times, at EICMA 2014, Husqvarna presented a new entry in the supermotard range, the powerful 701 Supermoto, powered by a single-cylinder engine with a single camshaft capable of a maximum power of 49 kW (67 HP) at 7.500 rpm, and a torque of 68 Nm at 6.000 rpm. Furthermore, a new chapter will begin in road segment with two prototypes, the 401 Vitpilen and 401 Svartpilen, the right way to wish, as they say, 100 more of these days.
